The recipes below are so easy to make that you'll wonder why you
didn't treat yourself to an aromatherapy bath, massage, or facial
earlier!
Baths
Lovely
Lavender Bubble Bath
Blend 1 quart distilled or purified water, 1 bar unscented (chipped
or grated) soap, 2 tbsp. glycerin and 3 drops lavender fragrant
or essential oil. Store in an airtight container with lid and
pour under running water. Rinse well after soaking.
Refreshing
Almond Body Bath
Place 1 cup Epsom salts and 1/2 cup coarsely ground kosher or
sea salt into a large resealable plastic bag. Add 5 drops almond
oil, shaking bag to mix between each drop. Add 1/2 cup to running
water as you prepare your bath. Rinse well after soaking.
Moisturizing
Skin Bath
Add geranium essential oil to your bath or use in a steam bath
to balance the skin and regulate sebum secretion. At night, add
2 drops each of sandalwood and rose essential oils in 20 ml carrier
oil to moisturize your skin as you sleep.
Relaxing
Chamomile Bath
Place a handful of dried chamomile blossoms into a piece of netting,
lace, or nylon stocking and tie closed with a ribbon or string.
Add sachet to your hot bathwater and soak in the fragrant warmth
for 20 to 30 minutes.
Massage
Arabian
Nights Massage Oil
Blend 10 tsp. olive oil, 6 drops sandalwood essential oil, 4 drops
cedarwood essential oil, and 4 drops bergamot essential oil. Heat
over stove on low heat until lukewarm or place bowl in sink filled
with hot water. When oil is lukewarm, massage into skin using
fingertips.
Spring
Breeze Massage Oil
Blend 10 tsp. grapeseed oil, 5 drops of rosewood essential oil,
2 drops cedarwood essential oil, and 2 drops chamomile essential
oil. Heat over stove on low heat until lukewarm or place bowl
in sink filled with hot water. When oil is lukewarm, massage into
skin using fingertips.

Your Face
Cool
as a Cucumber Facial Mask
This mask is perfect for any skin type; for best results, apply
weekly. Place 1 cup oats and 1 tbsp. wheat bran in a blender and
grind to a fine powder. Add 2 tbsp. buttermilk, 2 tbsp. whipping
cream, 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice, 1 tbsp. plain yogurt, 1 tsp. fresh
mint leaves, and 1/2 medium diced cucumber. Blend until consistency
is smooth. Apply to freshly cleansed face and leave on for 10
to 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, tone and moisturize.
Rose
Skin Toner Recipe
Mix 1/2 cup witch hazel, 1/2 cup dried rose petals, 1 tsp. dried
rosemary, blend well and let mixture sit for 4-6 hours. Strain
through muslin or cheesecloth and pour into a bottle with spray
nozzle. Spritz onto skin after washing.
Soft
Skin Lotion Recipe
Steep 1 cup dried chamomile blossoms in 1 cup milk for 2-3 hours
and strain. Add 8 tsp. wheat germ to liquid and blend. Place mixture
in a bottle and refrigerate; discard unused portions after one
week.
